8th in Chips After Day 1a in the Main Event

Wow. What a sick week.

I’ve played 7 tournaments so far this trip, and I final tabled three of em!

For those of you that haven’t been following it, I finished:

8th in the 1st 5k for ~$16,500

4th in the 2k for ~$42,500

5th in the 5k for ~$53,500

Unfortunately due to a dozen bad beats I wasn’t able to close any of these out, but that’s poker. Check out www.cardplayer.com or maybe www.pokerpages.com if you want specific details. I’m feeling too good to discuss bad beats right now.

At least $3,500 will be going to the charity I am now sponsoring which you should check out at www.Sens.org. Its goal is to end the negative side effects of ageing forever, and if you research the site, you will find that it’s not only a possibility, but an inevitability.

Ok, there’s still one event left: the $15,000 main event. The structure is amazing with 30,000 chips to start with. It seems like every single tournament pro has made it out to this event. The field is extremely tough.

Day one went great, and I have 120,000 chips. That leaves me in 8th place out of around the 300 people that played day 1a.

Today is day 1b, which means the other 300 or so people will be playing. I have the day off so I’m just gonna relax, watch my friends, and maybe hit up the spa if I can make time for it.

I’m playing the best poker of my life, and I’m clearly on a hot streak. I really want to make this final table. Four final tables, including a TV main event would just be unreal. It’s still early, but I like my chances as much as I reasonably can.

Check out www.cardplayer.com for some coverage, or www.myspace.com/ZeeJustin to see a few pics I uploaded. I’ll put them on my website eventually.

The next month is gonna be really hectic. I haven’t made any definite plans yet, but I think I’m gonna play the Bahamas WPT, the Tunica WSOP Circuit event and WPT, and the Borgata WPT. I’m a bit hesitant to commit, as that means an entire 6 weeks away from LA, but I really want to make a run at the Player of the Year race in 2007.

-As always, thanks for reading, and thanks for all the support!
