Back to the Old Routine
I didn’t play any poker last week except for Sunday and Monday. Again, I’ve been doing boring wholesome stuff like going to the gym and cooking. Also, the internet was down a lot, but I think we finally got the problem fixed. Ian is back in town for a while. He’s our 4th roommate. I wrote a few blogs about him a while back, namely the one about the time he left the keys in the car with the ignition running while we saw a movie.
On Saturday I got a much needed massage. The masseuse started with my lower body. She switched to my upper body, and before she had spent half a minute on it, she asked me, “Do you sit at a computer much?” Apparently my back is so messed up that it’s just blatantly obvious upon touch. I felt great after the massage. It was exactly what I needed. I think I may make it a weekly thing.
That night I went to a UCLA party w/ my friend Daniel. It was a decent party, but broke up way too early when they ran out of beer. Daniel does a radio show for his school and I think he’s going to interview me on Thursday. It should be fun to be on the radio.
I started playing poker again on Sunday, and played again today. I’ve made around $6-7k the past two days from SNGs. I almost had a big score tonight in Super Monday on Party. I was the chip leader with 100k chips when there were 30 players left. I had to say goodbye to 60k chips when my T2 lost to QT on the T732 board (all the money in on the turn). I lost the rest of my chips when I gave a gut shot a free card to defeat my trips. I don’t regret the way I played the hand. I think the break from poker was great for me as I’ve been playing my A game the past couple of days. I think I’ll have no trouble keeping that up for some time to come.
I’ll be playing poker more often from now on, so hopefully I’ll have some more content for everyone in future updates.
