Day 1 Complete

Today was one of those days, where I took so many beats that it just became comical. After your AK loses a 15k pot w/ 4 players left to Ax for the 3rd time, things just start to seem unreal. You start thinking, “it couldn’t possibly happen for an 18th time in a row, could it? Oh… I guess it can”. Every sit’n’go was just one giant beating after another. This isn’t exactly how I planned to start my quest, but shit happens. Let’s see the tally for day 1: # Played: 68 Time Invested: 6 hours 23 minutes Net Profit: -$13,540 (yes, that’s a negative sign) And man do I hate Party. So I’m 10 tabling sngs, and on one of my tables it looks like it’s the turn of the guy after me to act. The yellow arrow is blinking, so I forget about that table and go to the next table. Only that table stays like that. Since I had 10 tables open, I never noticed that one table was in the same spot until an hour later. By that time the sng was over and my money was lost. That damn yellow arrow was always flashing making it look like everything was normal. I don’t understand how Party software can be so bad sometimes. I’m connected just fine to all of my tables except for one, and it never bothers to give me any sort of signal that I’m disconnected from exactly one of my tables. How is that even possible?! Did that one specific table operate on a unique server?! On the bright side, I have to say that the games were incredibly soft. I was playing pretty loose and stealing a lot, but despite that I was usually a favorite when I got called. It was as if the players were waiting for small suited connecters to call my all-ins so that I would still be the mathematical favorite. Me: A7s, blinds are huge, only 4 players left, I guess I’m all-in Player 2: I have AK. It’s a drawing hand, so I’m gonna fold. Player 3: I have TT. I don’t like coinflips, so I’m gonna fold. Player 4: I’m in the big blind. I sure hope I find a monster so I can defend my blind. BINGO T9s! I call! Flop: 876 rainbow GG Ok, I’m done ranting. I’m gonna read some Kurzweil and then head to bed.
