I did the final table commentary for the $1,500 Mixed Hold’em event final table today, and I’m sick to my stomach right now.

I went in to the table rooting for Nick Binger. I’m a huge Binger fan. Both of the brothers are extremely nice, intelligent guys.

For the most part Nick played well. He was very aggressive, and I think he made a few missteps towards the end.

I was extremely impressed with the play of Jonathon Tamayo. I wish I remembered his online name since he is a 2+2er. Anyway, he played by far the best of anyone at the table, and it was sick to see a complete novice defeat him heads up. The other guy clearly had no idea what the value of a hand was.

Even though Jon didn’t win, I want to say congratulations. You played extremely well, and I expect to hear your name again in the near future.

Tomorrow of course is the $50,000 HORSE event. After bubbling it last year, I’m looking to get some revenge. I’ve had a couple of days off, and really expect to come with my A game tomorrow. I like my chances a lot.
