Huge News!!

Before I get to the huge news, I’m gonna start with some small news. CardPlayer is starting a new show called “The Calling Station” where the host will change in each episode. The host simply takes calls and answers them. The calls are entirely about strategy. Yesterday I was given the honor of being the shows first ever host! The episode should be up tomorrow on Cardplayer.com/tv.

Ok, now for the HUGE news…

Poker Road is starting a new show called All Strategy. The PR crew decided they wanted a live specialist as well as an online specialist, while still having two players well versed in both. That’s how they decided to have Daniel Negreanu and myself as the two hosts! Scott Huff will also be running the show / providing some color to make sure things don’t get too monotonous. I’ve worked with both Daniel and Scott before, and I really think this is a recipe for an amazing show.

I’m driving down to LA tonight. On Thursday I’m doing an episode of The Poker Mind with Amanda Leatherman. On Friday, we are taping the first four episodes of All Strategy, and on Saturday/Sunday, the WPT at the Bike starts.

So on Friday, I’m gonna need some help from everyone reading this! We need questions for All Strategy. You can either email them in advance to Strategy@pokerroad.com or you can call in to 866-925-8255 between 2-7pm PST on Friday August 22nd.

Please avoid generic questions like, “I struggle during the middle stages of tournaments. What am I doing wrong?” How would I know? I’ve never seen you play! Also try to avoid questions that an entire book could be written on such as “How should I play AK before the flop?”

I’d love to see specific hand questions. Emailing in hand histories would be great for one. Live hands are just as good if you can remember all of the important details such as position and stack size. Or if you questions about specific concepts such as making lay downs on the bubble in satellites, those are great too. I don’t know if we’re going to get 10 questions or 1,000 questions, but any question at all is welcome. I’m also not sure how much of the show will be dedicated to listener questions, but we will probably decide that based on how much interest there is in it. So if this is something you want to hear, make sure you email us your questions!

Anyway, I’m super honored to be considered in the same league as Daniel Negreanu to do a project like this, and I really think we can make this the most popular poker show on the internet. I know Daniel and Scott are just as enthusiastic about this as I am.
