Friday afternoon I got an IM from Brock Parker (T_Soprano on Stars). He told me there was a Magic tournament in Maryland on Saturday, and of course I got excited. Unlike in Poker, you can’t just buy in to the pro tournaments. You need to qualify, or essentially satellite in (incidentally that’s one of the main reasons I quit magic. I have 368,000 chips going into day 2 of the 5k event here at Bellagio. 15 players left including David Williams with a huge chiplead of almost 600k, JC Tran, Mark Teltscher, Adam "Roothless" Levy, Chris Bjorn, and Ray Hensen.
